
Parents as Partners Training and
Information Programs
(1) Basic Workshops

Information about regular and special education rights under federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies, and how to use strategies for working effectively with schools and other professionals.
(2) Individual Assistance Plan

One-to-one assistance for individual parents and professionals in developing programs to help children achieve in school.
(3) Community Parent Training

Training for parents and volunteers who are willing to provide information and support for parents in their communities, thus expanding the network of trainers throughout the state.
(4) Public Awareness 
Helping parents and the general public to understand the regular and special education needs of children through media outreach, audio-visual presentations, and working with other organizations and agencies.
(5) Low Income/Minority/At Risk Family Outreach
Identifying and supporting families in becoming involved
in their child's education and helping them prepare their child for success
in school.
